Why can't i see anything in my chat?

Hi! So, i downloaded this game today and when i first started playing i realized that my chat wasn't showing anything. it was blue like anyone hadn't said anything!! Can someone please, help me?!

You need to open it by saying anything on local/party/guild/trade/world

PS:You need to wait 1min after log in before shouting on world and trade

Remember, if you close a channel, it will remain that way even after restarting client.
