News Launch Date Revealed

After receiving few critical confirmations I have felt the confidence to declare launching date. The launch date is to be set forth July 29th, 2016. The approximation of time to launch is 10PM EST. The time selection is due to attribution that the fact, While western countries will have first start, But only to met necessary rest not long before the eastern day is to begin, Thus making up and ultimately western will have more hours during the weekend due to the fact eastern will be finished with weekend earlier than western does.

Another consideration lies with the game account slots system, To ensure server's legitimacy success we have decided to harness the power of Facebook relations, All currently registered members automatically obtains one game account slot, Should one desire to open up more game accounts will be required to invite a friend to PKONLINE. This is very sensitive topic and I want to make it first and foremost that we do not hold nor harvest data users information, We have never and never will store data related to your Facebook either. To successfully invite a friend into system, Your friend must complete the register under your URL as provided by the game accounts panel. And you will receive permanent game account slot, Regardless if they ever play the game at all. This decision is not made lightly and ultimately was decided in best interest for the players itself, In order to give this server the real chance it deserves, It needs the utter most best chance it can receive. And to accomplish that, We need to promote and encourage users to truly bring their friends to this server, After all, It is not generally favorable to play alone. If you are adamant about being not inviting any of your friends into this game, then perhaps you are not the prospective player this server deserves, This server is going be recognized as super hard-core and a lot of things that are accustomed such as purely individual motives and relying on only own self will not succeed at all. In my experience of running servers, When I ask players to bring their friends, Very little actually let alone attempt to bring up about the server to their friends or let alone asking them to join and help them. It's in my best interest to not waste anybody's time nor the developers' and in order to make this project into something I am going need to require players to invite so that the server will have much better odds and everyone's time playing here will be not gone wasted quickly.

This project is not self-funded, We(developers) are subject to all living costs including resource costs that hosts and maintain the server, Item Mall will be critical component. And so Item Mall will be made available immediately after the launch of server. It is going to market fairies related, apparels related, and forging-miscellaneous. The dollar to rum(points) ratio will be 1:10 or in other word $1 will be equal to 10 rum. We do not have a website mall, There is only in-game item mall where you will be purchasing items using rum points, However to purchase points will be done via forum.

Now, I won't lie this server is doomed to failure if we cannot get proper item mall economy, Players are expected to mall, The more players mall the more benefits exponentially increases server-wide. Things starts to get really much better for everyone, As it promotes more activities in the server itself, Creates healthy economy flowing, Provides new comers opportunity to catch up. The more coordinated and dedicated players agree upon malling the better chances server holds for future. So that means if you and your friends can pledge to mall a little bit here and there, It would help server tremendously, not only it boosts server' revenue but also brings new players indirectly, Increasing user base.

Now that I've announced almost all main elements of this server, I am working very hard to deploy server to per specifications and prepare measurements to provide stable and fair game play. The future of this server is very vague but potential is very clear on other hand, I am interested in maintaining the server in terms of reliability and originality keeping things in consistency and I think the combined of experience and resource I have gained over the years I strongly believe I can provide that.

haha forget about that xd (didnt saw the $1 = 10 rum) its cheap...
but even if i want to mall, im never able to because servers never count my country in xd (panama, central america)
there was only one server that had donation system for my country and was via cellphone msg (cant via paypal or credit card)
Okay, That's understandable but may i ask why did you set out such expectations when you already knew the consquences of unpopular currency, That's just like punishing yourself for no reason. I dont know why you are twice less hyped.

i think it can be something like 3k rep for 1 rum or maybe 5k = 1rum
but not from the start.. maybe 3 months later

Yeah, Zankza hasn't decided or rather announced if there are credit system that will be implemented. It won't be that bad since it will be hard leveling disciples and accounts would be limited because of the referral system

If you've already invited all your mates to this game and they have made accounts, i guess it's time to make alt facebook accounts haha you know so you can get more game account slots :L

lol, so your great idea is that? do you know how hard is lvling on 1x rate? and do you know how much rep u get lvling someone from Lv8-41? with your great ideia we will need to lv up 40 disciples from 8-41 to get a single stack of ration. you are tripping man. on top1 60-100 rep = 1 cred (it changed with the time). Of course 1 credit is different than 1 IGSP, but your rates are so useless for non mallers

Well there alot of way to make people able to farm rum but i don think it will be implement. Here some example, that is monster of the week/map of the week/region of the week. The motw/rotw will drop a token that able to trade into something. Maybe at 0.05% token drop rate , which need 50 token to be trade into rum. And in order to keep from being abuse , only monster that not stack like treat/smuggler/etc does not choose for the motw. This what i see how some of server survive for 5 years. Well for me the rum pretty good already , the price but i wanted to see all player able to compete each other. Just an opinion anyway. Or make a region that drop a token which is limited to 1 unique ip. There alot of way but none i see in any top/pko server
 
For rep to be maximize in a good way. I 100% sure gm can make sure the utilize of ip address which if its same ip they will not gain rep. Just a thought since what i saw its doable. Well people can use vpn n etc but at least it able to reduce abuser in some way. Just another opinion.

The point of the server is to duplicate the old pko 1.3x as flawlessly as possible, therefore I highly doubt this will ever be implemented. This is the same as the IGSP system in foxlv in some sense ( To farm item mall points in-game )

Also, the ip restriction won't be necessary considering that we're on x1 rates and exp events won't be implemented in a regular basis. Having a fair exchange rate ratio of Rep to Credit would be enough to prevent the inflation of the economy and still making it worth it to mall because if it was too easy, nobody would bother to mall.This is IF the Rep to Credit system would ever be implemented which Zankza hasn't formally announced nor has he rejected this idea.

true , 1x exp is quite extreme to keep on abuse . Getting lv41 might take a few hour. Yup i know it wont be implement due to vanilla. The word vanilla itself mean nothing change. Unique ip just an opinion because it avoid botter. Even single digit of money from botter need to be consider as inflation. Anyway hope this server able to be "official" pko/top server. Where people still play seavoy .

i dont mind malling and selling rum in-game, pretty sure other mallers will do the same also anyway
 
what i can say is those people who object about the game features or don't like it are those people who didn't play vanilla nor top 1 which bring backs more good memories that only a fellow top/pko player could ever feel so don't hate just appreciate :) lets have fun in opening
 
Don't worry guys, the mall might be seems expensive at first but it is not.
Remember this is HARD and SLOW server.
Your fairy won't level up everyday and you don't change your equips frequently.
Also most of mall items is not compulsories and some only need to be bought once.
The only concerns here is fairy rations. The price must be lowered.
Considering we need to use fairies every time and fairies eats up a lot.

Edit:
Don't worry about mallers.
No matter how much they mall or how many gold they have,
they will be stuck at level 70+ with +3/+3 equips anyways.

I don't really care about mall part, but as for whole facebook thing.. Most of my IRL friends don't even play videogames, and others just not interested in ToP anymore. And very few have facebook accounts at all. So, for the player who used to have multiple accounts, id have to make alt facebook accounts i gues. So il just ask there before i start doing that, if it is okay, since if my alt pko accounts will get banned, i better not bother with that at all.
 
The prices seem pretty fair except for the Fairy Rations. Auto rations are much better, and if someone decides to use them for whatever reason (Leveling pet over night, if it has meditation - leaving it on an alt to auto magma, etc.) then he should pay extra. So my opinion would be to keep the Auto ration price as it is, and slightly lower the Fairy ration price, since paying 5 Rum more to get the same amount of Auto Rations as Fairy rations is kind of unfair, and the price difference should be higher.

Additionally, I think that something like Standard skills may be a bit too much this early in the game. Remember that Standard Meditation completely eliminates SP boundaries, which will be a massive factor in both PvE and PvP early on.

So I think you should hold off from adding Standard skills so early. At best, add Basic ones (They're not good, but they help a little bit) and add Standard ones after a few weeks (a month?), or ditch the Basic, and add Standard ones after a couple of weeks, just not instantly.
