Tales of Pirates old user, can't log in

Hello!

I used to play Tales of Pirates and was sad to hear it was shut down a few years ago. I was pointed to these forums after hearing that Pirate King Online was Tales of Pirates. I could be wrong/not sure?
If so, I was wondering if old TOP accounts are still on/can be accessed? I tried to log into my old one but I received a 'invalid username' option, so just wanted to see if maybe I'm just an idiot or if there's something I need to do to access my old account?
