my characters are gone??

i recently switched computers, but i was still playing this from my old one. today i downloaded the game client onto my new computer to log in and play, but all my characters are suddenly gone from my account. what happened??? i've logged in on my old computer and my characters are there, but still not on the new one. the characters show up as in my account on here but not in the client. does this happen a lot???

Check the server in client launcher, need be the same

Your characters are stored saftely in the Port Royal server. Select the Port royal server from the launcher. Should they not appear, restart your pc and perform a version check.
