How Blueprint Quality Works

Every blueprint has it's own quality, I see this in Manufacturing, Cooking, and Crafting blueprints.
My question is what does the quality actually do? Does it increase stats in Crafting Blueprints? If so then by how much? Does it increase the amount your produce in Cooking/Manufacturing? If so then by how much?
I'd like to know all the mechanics related to blueprint quality so I can best know how to take advantage of it.
