Crusader or Champion - class pick

Hello everyone, i want to play a class with a shield and one handed weapon. The thing is there are 2 races available Lance and Carsise and i don't know which one to pick

Could you tell me which one is better option because one can be a champion and it looks freaking awesome but it is shows as two-handed weapon user, can that class use one hand and shield as well? Or is it better to go as Lance as crusader? What do you suggest?

you need a 2handed weapon in champion to do damage. sword + shield isn't the main role.
champion --> tank --> mais stat CON

a crusader need 210 speed to do a high damage. the main role is 2 sword . crusaders have a low def and a shied with -7% damage will not be significant at low levels.
crusader --> dodge and damage --> str /agi stats

I this game u dont have a char that use sword+shield. it is only a def mode of crusader and/or champion.
