News Game Accounts Activated + Referral URL

Hello!

We've approached time to activate the game account management, which means you may create your game accounts and manage them. And part of game account system is about how many game accounts you may have, based on your referrals. We have adopted new policy which means all new accounts get one free game account, and for first referral they have successfully referred will obtain two more game accounts for total of three game account slots. And every forth referral will grant additional game slot.

Remember, the referral must be sent by our "invite a friend" system because they contain special URL which is linked to your account so when players sign up, you will receive the additional game account slot! This is critical and important in many aspects not just about game accounts slot but, when friends invite their friends to play, they are MUCH MUCH more likely to check out the game let alone playing it with their friends. Yes there are many prospective players, but frequently, completely strangers will come and then just go in matter of minutes or hours. Where if you, as a friend, invite your friend, they are more likely to find the game more enjoyable due to being in familiar environment plus free PLVL lol! I hope everyone will at least try to invite few friends, and hopefully it will help populate the server so it reaches necessary level of activity to get everything start flowing.

I don't really like the fact that we are being "Forced" to an action, invite friends, in order to gain additional accounts slots. like what the ****, cut us a slack..
The more people in, the more fun out.. yea I do agree, but at the end of the day, I think its up to us to decide whether we want to invite our friends or not.
Its like watching a Youtube video in a channel, and then if we decide to watch the other videos in that channel we cant. "because" watching other videos requires likes, or "sharing" the channel with our friends.

How would this system be beneficial for the server? increasing the server popularity? MAYBE, but we could've invited them without being forced to do so.
People are going to create fake accounts, me included if none decided to join (and I'll do it the hard way). and oh yea.. creating a hard-core server, is definitely fine and appreciable. However, making it harder for us to create additional accounts REALLY sucks.......

Precisely. We should've just had a couple of game account slots, instead of having to create alt facebook accounts to get more. I personally won't do it, because I don't intend to turn this server into an alt fiesta. But honestly, if people wanted to invite their friends, they'd do it, whether there's a reward included or not. Similarly to how game account slots won't really persuade anyone to invite their friends if they already hadn't, it's just extra work having to create multiple facebook accounts.

But oh well, perhaps a few players may be brought into the game solely because of how the game account slots work, so there's that.

I hope this is a temporary thing. Like 1 or 2 days before the launch he will remove this. Since this is a good server advertisment. But bad for the actual players trying to have few alts.

On a more serious note, I find it a real shame that there's no way of stopping people from creating alts. I do miss the days when people were so oblivious that they'd just play with 1 char and if they needed another class for something (i.e. seavoy or buffer), they'd ask their friends to help them out.

But things have changed since, and I'm guessing it's not entirely the community's fault for relying on alts too much, the majority of the private servers released in the past few years basicly had a requirement for you to log as many alts as possible in order to strive.

Its just people understanding the concept of this game, and almost every game. That numbers win, and if you can play with 5 sm's at the same time, you are more likely to win then the other player playing with 1 sm.

That 1 SM brings a couple of her friends because that's how the game should be played (and who the hell plays a SM without a team), your alts are dead. I recommend you look around; just cause you're playing solo and think you'll do a lot with alts, doesn't mean that others will play solo too and that you'll beat them. Good luck with that though.

I am well aware that his "5 SM alts vs 1 SM main" was just a metaphor for stating that Alts > No alts. I simply used a similar metaphor in order to prove his theory wrong.

So you are stating, that that 1 sm bring a team because a player usually plays with a team? ok.
I play with a team, and every member of my team brings 3 alt voys, beat that.

Another consideration lies with the game account slots system, To ensure server's legitimacy success we have decided to harness the power of Facebook relations, All currently registered members automatically obtains one game account slot, Should one desire to open up more game accounts will be required to invite a friend to PKONLINE. This is very sensitive topic and I want to make it first and foremost that we do not hold nor harvest data users information, We have never and never will store data related to your Facebook either. To successfully invite a friend into system, Your friend must complete the register under your URL as provided by the game accounts panel. And you will receive permanent game account slot, Regardless if they ever play the game at all. This decision is not made lightly and ultimately was decided in best interest for the players itself, In order to give this server the real chance it deserves, It needs the utter most best chance it can receive. And to accomplish that, We need to promote and encourage users to truly bring their friends to this server, After all, It is not generally favorable to play alone. If you are adamant about being not inviting any of your friends into this game, then perhaps you are not the prospective player this server deserves, This server is going be recognized as super hard-core and a lot of things that are accustomed such as purely individual motives and relying on only own self will not succeed at all. In my experience of running servers, When I ask players to bring their friends, Very little actually let alone attempt to bring up about the server to their friends or let alone asking them to join and help them. It's in my best interest to not waste anybody's time nor the developers' and in order to make this project into something I am going need to require players to invite so that the server will have much better odds and everyone's time playing here will be not gone wasted quickly.

Yes please this is not encouraging at all. If anything it's just making the process of getting extra accounts annoying.

In my case, I invite most of my close friends anyway. Wether there is a reward or not. Sure I don't invite random acquaintances, but I'm pretty sure most people don't anyways. I wouldn't like to bother people I barely know just for the sake of getting another account. Plus the fact that I don't even know if they'll follow the link or even answer fast enough. Maybe if there was no other way to create an account sure I would try. But nope I'd rather create another facebook account or use my sister's or whatever; like most people here.

Maybe if it was something like: "If the friend you invited gets to lvl 40, you get 40 free rations!!!". Then sure, I would be "encouraged" to invite someone.

Worst part of this system is they don't even have to play.

And you know what's easier than getting your friends to play the game so you don't have to play alone? Playing with other players inside the game.

I'm sorry you are having inconvenience but stats do not lie, ever since I enabled game account management(albeit referrual) we saw hundred accounts poured in.

That's true, but all of them are ''dead'' accounts. I have invited 3 friends, none of them will play,but accounts have been made here. I don't see any action on forums from new people really ( not more than 1-2 new people post daily), so I really don't think this was a good idea. I know none of my fb friends will play this server and I'm pretty sure like 99% of this forum users are in same situation as me.

It's fine, it encourages people to actually go and invite people to the server.
Some might argue that you can create alts, and that is certainly true, however, there's always a some people who will follow the system as it is intended.
So, the system Zankza chose is fine, even if only 1 person invites a friend because of this system, it is a success.
